What is yarn sourcing?

Yarn sourcing is the process of identifying and selecting the appropriate yarns to weave fabrics or products — choosing the right fibre, yarn count, texture, twist per inch (TPI), ply and colour for your project.

We source natural and sustainable yarns for weaving, knitting, dyeing and textile production. Our yarns come on cones, suit both hand and machine use, and are regularly lab-tested to meet strict quality standards.

Quality, verified

What we test

Every yarn is checked against the metrics that decide how it will weave, knit and take dye.

Twist per inch (TPI)

The number of complete twists in a one-inch segment. Proper twist binds fibres tightly for strength, durability and the right elasticity.

Yarn count accuracy

We verify thickness and fineness (Ne, Nm or Tex) so fabric weight, texture and appearance stay consistent across every batch.

Moisture regain

The percentage of water a fibre absorbs under standard conditions — it directly affects yarn weight, handling and dye absorption.

Cleanliness & finish

We inspect for contaminants such as dirt, seed fragments, spinning oils and surface irregularities before a yarn is approved.

Twist direction (S / Z)

Yarns are spun in an S or Z direction. The correct direction balances the yarn and keeps the fabric structure stable.

Consistency

Even thickness, twist and strength along the full length — no weak spots that could break during weaving or knitting.

What is fabric sourcing?

Fabric sourcing is choosing the best fabric to match your idea — one of the first and most important steps in making any textile product. The fabric you choose shapes the final product's appearance, texture and quality.

If the fabric you need isn't on our website, we can source it or develop a custom option built to your brand's exact requirements.

Our approach

How we source your fabric

Natural materials, responsible partnerships and the flexibility to make something custom.

Natural & sustainable fibres

We specialise in natural textiles — organic cotton, linen, silk, wool, handwoven and recycled fabrics such as recycled cotton and silk.

Mill & artisan partnerships

We work closely with mills, weaving clusters and artisan groups in India, and collaborate with distributors abroad for faster delivery.

Undyed & made to order

Our fabrics are all undyed and take natural dyes beautifully. Low MOQs for small batches, or a custom weave when you need something specific.

Ethical & responsible

We source following ethical and environmental standards, so every material is responsibly made and safe for people and the planet.
